Our mission
Care that reaches the families other groups pass by
Fatima's Charity was founded to stand beside families in the Banaadir region who are caring for someone with a severe physical or developmental disability, often with no other help within reach. We work with each family directly, bring what their situation calls for, and build a circle of people around those who are too often left alone.
The IRS recognizes us as a 501(c)(3) public charity. Every person we support is treated with the same dignity, no matter how severe the condition.
What we do
Three ways we show up
Each one is matched to what a household actually needs, not to a fixed package.

Direct family support
Ongoing help for families caring full time for a child, sibling, or spouse with a severe disability, so they carry less of the weight alone.

Basic needs and care items
Mobility aids, bedding, and everyday essentials for people who can't get them on their own, delivered to the household.

Community and dignity
Regular visits and a caring presence for people and families who would otherwise face their situation with no outside support.
Our impact
Families we walk alongside
Since 2023 we've supported people of every age across Banaadir, from toddlers to elders. Each lives with a significant disability, and each has a family working hard to care for them.
